Mastercam System Requirements

• Processor: 1.5 GHz 32-bit Intel®-compatible processor. 64-bit Intel®-compatible processors are supported.
• Operating System: Windows XP® or Windows Vista® (Business or Ultimate), including the latest service packs and recommended updates. NET 2.0 framework.
• Memory: 1GB (minimum). Because available RAM significantly affects performance, your use of the software could require more RAM to ensure optimal performance
• Graphics Card: 128 MB OpenGL-compatible graphics card (minimum).
• Full hardware acceleration display setting is recommended.
• Integrated graphics share system RAM and can degrade performance on large or complex parts.
• 96dpi / small fonts should be used at resolutions less than 1280 pixels in width. If the dpi setting is too large to display the entire contents of the ribbon bar, you can display the options that are not visible by choosing the chevron.
• Hard Disk Space: 1.7 GB available hard disk space (minimum).
• Monitor: 1024 X 768 pixel resolution (minimum) at 96 dpi (1280 X 1024 recommended).
• Mouse: 2-button Windows® compatible mouse (minimum).
• Network Protocol: (NetHASP users only) TCP/IP protocol for NetHASP installation; VPN is unsupported.
• Additional Supported Hardware: Dual monitors; multiprocessors; Spaceball® motion controllers.

As an independent software vendor partner with Dell, Mastercam receives and tests their latest hardware offerings to make sure that they are compatible with Mastercam. Once a system is received, Mastercam is installed and we run tests to insure the hardware platform and its individual components work without error. By eliminating the issue of incompatibility, both software and hardware vendors help reduce troubleshooting and resolution. If the system meets our approval, it is deemed “certified” and then listed on Dell's web page as a supported and recommended system from running Mastercam.
